  An important part of the AACA’s mission is to look beyond the Atlanta total rewards community by supporting our broader local communities. 

  We are continuing our community outreach initiatives this year. We are excited to announce our volunteer event with Open Hand Atlanta on Friday July 24, 2026, at 8:30 AM located at 1380 W Marietta ST NW, Atlanta, GA 30318.  As part of this volunteer event, we will be meal packing food into individual containers and snack bags.  With over 5,000 meals to package every day, your help is essential. 

  Participation in this event is limited to 20 volunteers; therefore, we recommend signing up as soon as possible if you plan to participate. Registration is open from June 23rd until July 17th

  PLEASE NOTE: This is a 2-part registration process.

  1. Register with AACA by clicking HERE to provide your Volunteer T-Shirt size.

  2. Everyone needs to individually sign up with Open Hand by clicking HERE.

  Here’s what the day looks like:

  • Arrive by 8:30 AM
  • Orientation begins at 8:45 AM
  • Meal Packing runs from 9:00 AM until 12:00 PM

  DRESS CODE (FDA Requirements – no exceptions):

  • Closed-toe shoes required; slip-resistant shoes recommended. No sandals, flip-flops, Crocs or any open-toed shoes allowed
  • No jewelry at all—including wedding rings, watches, fitness trackers, etc. (We’ll provide coverings for permanent jewelry)
  • No shorts, miniskirts, or tank tops
  • No headphones, earbuds, or Bluetooth earpieces
  • Lockers provided for personal items

  Important! Use the Rockdale Dr. entrance by EventWorks.
  Do not turn at the Open Hand sign or enter from Lois Street.

  Volunteers should enter through the left-hand side of the building and sign in at the iPad station in the lobby. The front doors and loading docks are for staff use only.
