An important part of the AACA’s mission is to look beyond the Atlanta total rewards community by supporting our broader local communities. Earlier this year, we sent out a survey asking you to select three charitable causes that are important to you. The top three causes identified from this survey were Children and Family Services, Food Insecurity, and Homelessness.
Based on these results, we are excited to announce our first official volunteer event of the year with the Atlanta Community Food Bank. As part of this volunteer event, we will be inspecting, sorting, and packing quality grocery donations for distribution to agencies across Georgia that provide food for hungry children, hardworking families, and struggling seniors.
Participation in this event is limited to 20 volunteers, so it is recommended that you sign up as soon as possible if you plan to participate.

Safety: The Food Bank no longer requires that masks be worn or for a volunteer to show proof of vaccination to serve. Masks are optional and available for those that would prefer one. Please reschedule your volunteer shift if you feel sick or if you recently were exposed to or tested positive for COVID-19. The Food Bank may reintroduce these requirements if periods of high community transmission occur.
Dress Code: Closed-toe and closed-heel shoes are required, with sneakers or work boots recommended. Flip flops, sandals or heeled shoes are not allowed. Please wear comfortable clothing which you do not mind getting a bit rumpled.
Food Donations: With 1 in every 6 Georgians at risk of hunger, the number of people requesting emergency food assistance continues to grow. If every volunteer visiting our Hunger Action Center brings just two cans of food, we would be able to provide approximately 2,750 additional meals each month!
